Peter's Thoughts

On this brisk, starry evening in the bustling street outside the concert hall, no one suspected the shocking events that would soon unfold. For many years afterward Timby would awake in the midnight and experience a fleeting pang of terror as he recalled them, but then his head would clear and he would again feel at home in the desperately errant world that had since resulted.

It all started out innocently enough with the valet, who was having difficulty finding the correct key on a large and confusing key chain. The precise sequence of escalation has never been clear, but the sparse evidence that remains yields the unanimous conclusion from all concerned that things began going wrong when the keynote speaker inside mentioned dentures.
